TRANSCRIPT
Dear Father in Heaven, we’re thankful for Thy mercy upon us,
that that Thou has blessed us to meet together as a society.
We pray for this training tonight that will take it into our hearts and into our
understanding and be empowered to make a difference. And we pray for our words and
our contribution. And of course, we thank again for blessing Ben to spearhead these
gatherings and preparing him to share these things with us in the name of Jesus
Christ. Amen. Thank you. Joyce, appreciate it. Alrighty,
Carmen, if you’re ready to give us the minutes for last week, that’s October the
14th. Carmen?
Okay.
Struggling with this thing again. Okay.
I can only see half of the… Okay, there it goes. All right.
The Minutes for Tree of Liberty Society meeting for Monday,
October the 14th, 2024, there was no way to tell who gave the opening prayer,
so I don’t know who it was, but Ben,
after the opening prayer, Ben gave them minutes for October 6th, 7th,
in Carmen’s absence. Training was by Samantha tonight. Ben gave the spiritual thought
based on Ezekiel 33 verse 3,
“And where the Lord commanded us to set up watchmen, and what their job is, that
if people hear, heard the voice, and didn’t respond, it’s on their own heads. Listen
and be protected. And we’re part to blame for their actions, for people’s actions,
if we don’t share warning. Samantha began training by the title was recognizing an
overcoming propaganda. Has she commented how we have a responsibility to teach what
we know and to warn others?
Oh my.
She was a Disney artist and she saw the full propaganda machine there.
Didn’t realize how evil their principles and ideas were that were used to study.
Why study propaganda? Mark Twain said it’s easier to fool people than to convince
them that they have been fooled. How do we teach others to, others we care about,
or give me unquoted on studying evil, bringing to light all hidden things of
darkness?
If we understand Propaganda, we know how to…
Okay, go ahead. Sorry. Okay. We understand propaganda. And
then we know how he teaches us to this, how he influences us to harm us.
We need to focus on correct eternal principles, not personalities,
trans issues or what’s popular. All of that can change. We need to be discerning
and listen to conclusions. A member, unidentified, spoke up and commented how settled
Satan is. Listening to personalities and their conclusions is important.
It’s very subtle. Could be a little bit wrong to get us off to a weird path. Ilya
commented on, said that the most common solution offered by talking heads are vote
harder, let the courts decide or do nothing. It’s only propaganda if that’s all they
offer. It’s a big bait switch. Alan from Canada commented about hungering and
thirsting after righteousness, that this is a
complete lack of morality.
Samantha used some good similes. She talked about choosing from the World Buffet and
that we need to consume what brings us back to God, don’t eat something that makes
us sick, be more discerning, evaluate, all you know, be a lover of truth.
The conspiracy goes by different names. It hides the true God.
There’s double speak, and it gains complicity. She mentioned about the movie,
or the, I guess, the television series The Chosen.
It’s
A bunch of Hollywood actors showing a man -made version of the Christ and to lead
people away from the real Christ.
You don’t use the TV. Okay. Watch TV to learn not to study for relationship with
the Savior at the end of the day or either serving Christ or Satan. Rod talked
about how Satan’s greatest job is to get us to use our agency for wickedness.
Samantha continued saying about propaganda limits our choices.
We need to hitch our wagon to someone smarter. Alan from Canada said we become far
more lazy and willing to do critical thinking when we’re rattled or disturbed
emotionally. Samantha comment about how Cain listened to Satan.
He kills Abel and lies about it. And then Satan lies to Cain. And the third great
grandson, Lamek, becomes master mayhem, who prevent and darkness prevails over the
earth. The closing pair was offered by Ilyor.
Carmen, I guess I didn’t hear you finish. Did you finish? Yes. Oh, sorry. Okay,
great. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Is any, but do you have any
corrections or questions or anything?
Okay, if no corrections or comments, we’ll leave it there and
I asked Dan to do the spiritual thought but it looks like they’re doing some
Technical difficulty fixing. Are you available Dan or do you want me to?
Do a song and dance while we’re waiting for you. Can you hear me? – I can. – All
right, well, you might be good.
– I’ll go down, hold on a second. – Yeah, do you saw him dance until he–
(laughing) – Well, good, I wanted to, so,
killing no murder, that was recommended by Dr. Joe Wolferton. And he recommended
another book that I got recently. I haven’t started reading it yet, but it’s along
the same lines. It’s, he says it’s a lot, It’s really, really good, but it was
written back in 1579. And it’s called a defense of liberty against tyrants.
And it was originally written in Latin and French in 1579. Translated into English
in 1648. So it predates killing, no murder. And it’s still a pretty, you know, it’s
not a it’s not a crazy thick read. So what’s the name of it again? It’s called a
defense of liberty against tyrants by Junius Brutus.
And this is the Christian heritage edition. And so it comes highly recommended from
Joe Wolverton. So by Brutus who Brutus Junius Brutus.
Okay. So I just wanted to pass that recommendation on to everyone else.
But was that a long enough song and dance? That’s probably enough. Okay. Can you
hear me? I guess you can. I can hear you and I can see you. I can’t see what I
look like. Do I look ridiculous? You look wonderful. I got a lens flare on me.
All right. Yeah, it looks a little blurry, but…
Okay, I had a couple of thoughts the last couple of weeks,
but talking with my wife, she had some good,
some good scriptures and one of them tied directly with what I was going to talk
with, but I’ll do both.
First of all, I’ve been thinking a lot about the spirit of discernment,
and what that really means, how we can get such a gift,
and what are the practical applications of such, and so in light of the part two
presentation we were going to talk about today, there was a good scripture
that is in 2 Timothy 4,
and I will read probably the first five or six verses,
so it says, “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who
shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom, preach the
word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove,
rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering, and doctrine. For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears, and shall turn away their ears from the
truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things,
endure inflections, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry,
for I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Anyway, there’s a couple of scriptures in there that I think were interesting.
How many are familiar with the, this was something we discussed on my mission
actually, which I thought was funny that Samantha brought it to my attention, but
was, has anybody heard the term itching
yeah what and so what what is the what is the definition what what what do we
what do we make of of that phrase itching ears the the passage when we were
discussing it many years ago
the passage refers to a condition that people are more interested in in hearing
pleasant and flattering teachings that confirm their own beliefs rather than listening
to the truth and of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So they are described as having itching ears because they have this crave,
they crave this the satisfaction of hearing their own opinions back and validated to
them So it itches their ears is one of the definitions that we had discussed,
which I think is interesting. It’s this echo chamber where we get into this moment
where we feel in, we’ve all been there probably in multiple times in our lives
where we are searching for truth. And the balance of being discerning is to know
when you are in that echo chamber and you’ve found a safe place or you still need
to go push further and to find if what truth you’ve received is all the truth that
you need to receive or is there more beyond that or could you need to take a
breath and then go dig deeper and receive more truth because often we water seeks
its own level. So we’re all at that stage. So I think there’s a cautionary tale
for us to make sure that we are ever searching for the truth,
but when we become complacent, we might want to check ourselves and always validate
the truth that we’re learning with past prophets and scriptures and things that ring
true and make sure that those things are validated and confirmed by the Spirit of
the Holy Ghost. So it’s a constant battle and it’s exciting when we are looking for
new truths, but we need to have the, what’s the word I’m looking for,
discipline to take that truth and plant it as a seed And if it,
if it’s a good seed, it will grow and then to have the courage to continue to
look for the next truth, the line upon line concept is, is very, very appropriate,
especially in light of, of what we’ll be hearing tonight. So there’s,
we are all probably hear some things. I’ve been privy to this presentation before,
but things that would go, “Oh, no, that’s not true. That can’t be, and that
person’s a good person.” But these things are potentially pitfalls for us to,
and so that’s why I think this itching ears thing was an appropriate scripture that
Samantha reminded me about because we’re all in danger of being in that moment where
we, oh, we, we believe this, oh, we are with a bunch of people that, that believe
the same things, but I think it’s, I think it’s fascinating and, and empowering
that, that as we are a group here of, of like -minded individuals seeking the same
types of things that there is a lot of, of differences between us and our
experiences and there’s a lot to be learned because of that difference. So anyway,
that’s basically it. I think there’s a power in the ability to discern truth and I
think that’s one of the best gifts of a group like this is to be able to have
open and honest conversations about what is true and what can be validated by the
the the Holy Ghost and the the word of God. So with that,
I will turn it back. Awesome. Thank you, Dan. I appreciate that. Yeah, that is
really just something that’s apropos and perfect to in any training, but this is,
I appreciate you bringing that up. That’s good. Does anybody else have any comments
or thoughts they wanted to add to what Dan shared? – Yeah, I really love that. And
I hadn’t thought of it before, but we are really all, we have our own personal
algorithms feeding us only what the YouTube knows I like and everything.
And I think I’m doing that on a level, like looking for things to confirm what I
already believe.
Yeah, it’s a hard one to get away from because you want to you want to make sure
you want to confirm everything that you think and you don’t want to be thought of
as wrong. And so it’s important for us to avoid self deception and and find the
ways that we are wrong so that we can learn and grow and be better. And I know
if I asked the Lord, he’s going to help me out with this now that I have the
understanding. Yeah, the thing that takes the discipline, I think,
is the fact that that thing that we all do and do innocently is the very bowl
that we’re all swirling in with the the distractions of the earth that we have are
things that we’re comfortable with. You sit down and in our left right,
this is my guy, this is my team, the versus their team, we’re just wasting time.
We like these things and there’s a danger in that obviously in wasting our time,
I think Ben said this multiple times, all the adversary has to do is take us out
of the fight, just keep us distracted, waste our time, run the clock out, and then
we’re all in trouble. So it takes discipline to be on this journey of truth and
then go, wow, I’ve got this big chunk of new truth that I’ve never had before to
this level, this must be it. And then we stop dead. And we have to have the
discipline to keep going. Is there more? What else? And in spoiler alert, there’s
always more. So don’t want to blow the story for everybody.
– Appreciate it. Alrighty, thank you so much, Dan. I appreciate you, the effort you
put into that. Samantha, are you, are you ready? I I hopefully am can everyone hear
me, okay? I can hear you perfectly. Yep, and I’m gonna give you the share screen
permission And you are good to go Okay, so hello if everyone could say a quick
prayer That my computer won’t crash for the fifth time in a row And that I can
give this presentation because the adversary’s trying to get in your way Horses are
lining against us. And the irony is that when I presented this a couple years ago,
that recording didn’t work, right? Remember that, Ben? – That’s true, yep. – So I
presented it, it was an hour or whatever long, and then we weren’t able to use any
of it. So I’m really hoping this will work today. It would be so nice. Okay,
I’m gonna share my screen.
And– – December, you might have to go full screen. – I did. And please let me
know, is that full screen? – Yes. – Hallelujah. Okay, it’s working so far.
Keep praying. Okay, so recognizing modern propaganda,
we’re on to part two. And I really liked how last time we went low and slow and
just took our time and kind of – Saved some of the principles and ideas.
I’m totally fine doing that again today. If you don’t have anything to say on a
slide, that’s fine, we’ll move on. But if you have comments and questions, definitely
feel free, Ben, if you would, please let me know if anyone wants to comment because
I can only see my presentation screen. – I have a comment, Sam. – Okay. – You have
a little thing that says your sharing is on. Will you hit the hide button? Oh,
you’re so smart. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. My husband is so good to me.
Okay. So last time we got as far as why we should study propaganda,
the whole scriptural and gospel background of it, basically starts in the war in
heaven and then with Satan, the goals of the the see what their goals are,
what our goals should be, right, is to forsake evil. And so we started to get into
the history of propaganda since basically Cain. And today we’re going to pick up
from there and we’ll see how far we get as far as the tools and obstacles to
overcoming
There’s a lot of things we can we can talk about so we’ll see how far we get
So this is where we picked up from last time. So the origin of the word propaganda
Comes from the Urban College of the Propagation of the Faith It’s that was a palace
built by Pope Urban the That is 8th to host a committee of Cardinals in 1622.
So they were to oversee the spread of Christianity and send missionaries out to non
-Catholic countries. So the word in of itself had religious connotations,
but it’s become modernized to basically mean to spread or propagate. And it was
actually pretty, it didn’t have negative connotations in the beginning necessarily,
but we can see that through time, over time, it has changed.
So talking about ministries of propaganda, it would make sense to go to Wikipedia,
which is kind of a Ministry of Propaganda, but the free encyclopedia, if it’s free
you know it’s good.
Encyclopedia says a Ministry of Propaganda, also an agency or department of
propaganda, is the part of a government charged with generating and distributing
propaganda. So lots of countries have this formal official branch arm of their
government for this. Though governments routinely engage in propaganda, ministries or
departments with the word propaganda in their name have become progressively more rare
since the end of World War II. After the term took on its present negative
connotation, people started to figure out what they were doing to them. So they had
to change the word. Instead of using the word propaganda, governments today often use
the terms public relations, psychological operations, education, advertising,
or simply information. Isn’t that interesting that all those terms are interchangeable,
like education means psychological operations when someone in the government is using
it. Advertising is basically PR or psychological operations. They’re operating on your
your psyche. It’s very very telling actually what they’ll tell you in Wikipedia. So
bad guys, bad governments have been using propaganda.
Okay, here we go. We’ve got Hitler. We’ve got Germany using it. Yep.
We’re all aware of that. This is Russia with their communist propaganda.
No idea what those say. I’m sure it’s horrible. And very, very much leaning towards
manipulating, right? Look at that lovely image. And we’ve got communist China using
their propaganda on their own people.
Again, right, bad guys, there’s Mao using propaganda on their citizens.
But is propaganda only used in totalitarian states? That’s often what you hear when
you hear about the word propaganda. Oh, those totalitarian governments use it. Okay,
I think you guys know the answer, right? Speaking to an enlightened group. This is
a World War I poster by the US Army. So you could see the manipulation and the
propaganda. – They’re basically calling Germans monkeys or what are they? – Yeah, yeah,
yeah, absolutely monsters. Yeah, there’s, there are all sorts of really, really
offensive art That was used against the Germans in World War one and then here.
We are at a World War two
Hyper hyper emotional. I mean look at that. It’s so bad
Yeah, it is right yeah, yeah, that’s where it’s where Lucas got
some is designed from, stylings from. – You can see what they do with the church
right there, right, the Nazi boot. So that way they can accuse you, if you’re not
supporting the war, that means you want the churches to be destroyed. That means
you’re anti -God. – Yeah. – It’s a great propaganda tool. – Yeah, it’s very effective.
I mean, if anybody knows anyone that lived through, was old enough to remember World
War II, They it was very effective you talk to them about it and Then I’m more
modern at the real quick. Sorry GW says is does that say culture on the beasts
hat?
Oh goodness on the very first Destroy
this mad brute. No,
– Oh, K -U -L -T -U -R. Yeah,
I don’t know if that’s German for culture, I’m not sure.
I actually never, never, – Looks like, yeah.
– Okay, so, yeah, I mean, these more propaganda posters are amazing.
There’s a lot to them, I have a couple of books on it, and they are fascinating.
And then we have modern, we have modern news and posters around 9 /11.
And so those in the know understand that it wasn’t hijacked jets that destroyed the
Twin Towers. It was an inside job and there was local explosives inside those
buildings. And it was more than two towers that fell down there was three buildings
right so but they push they push the the fear and those really strong headlines
right and then since then we will never forget right so if you never forget I mean
you have to remember that it was those evil terrorists that did it and not our own
governments and and and they have that day of service. So they’ll keep the
propaganda alive and there’s anniversaries like just galore, they’ll just keep
anniversaring this and that and others so that you can’t forget, right?
You can’t, you always have to remember what the narrative, the public relations,
psychological operations, education that they are selling and they’re selling it to
you. They want you to buy it. Does anyone remember this? Take a bite out of COVID
get free pizza with your free vaccine and a and a chance to win a hundred dollar
gift card Does anyone know where this is from?
I don’t oh, yeah, I won’t forget Yeah, so this is just one of many times.
This is from BYU Oh He was offering free pizza for your COVID pizza and a hundred
bucks a bunch of students going to get the hundred bucks Yeah, well, I just want
to say that that is such a slap in the face because a hundred bucks is literally
nothing It as it is, but especially like considering hyperinflation after COVID I
mean, that’s they’re just laughing at us when they offer us this propaganda. You
know what I mean? Yeah, and it’s like a raffle like so you could win it. That’s
not even. I always use the phrase I always use the phrase a ritual mockery. But a
lot of the times that’s what propaganda is. It’s a ritual monkey. Absolutely. They’re
totally making. Who was speaking? Who was that? Your boy, Elior.
I thought.
I’m just kidding. What did you call it? What did you call it? Ritual mocking.
Ritual mocking. Ritual mockery. Yeah, sounds more fancy that way.
Ritual mockery. Okay. So this this article was just in news a week ago.
Opinion, don’t be stupid. Skipping your COVID booster could reduce your IQ. So they
keep, they keep it alive right so with boosters and with new fake you know diseases
and I don’t even understand how they could even like sell that like I didn’t do
something and so I got dumber yeah it’s it’s it’s not logical none of these like
it all fits right none of it is logical it’s just emotional and you know oh no
skipping COVID reduce IQ you know like that’s all you just you feel it rather than
think about it. So, you know, it’s that’s the heart and soul of propaganda. We’ll
get into that. Okay, so modern propaganda. So as I said before,
I was virtually, I mean, I knew nothing about the global conspiracy.
Gadiant robbers like I didn’t know anything when the fake pandemic hit in 2020.
I was completely caught off guard. And so I know there’s lots of books out there.
I’ll share with you the ones that I believe were very helpful to me and to help
me quickly kind of get up to speed. And what’s good about knowing about the
conspiracies, you start to realize it’s not accident. It is indeed planned and It’s
always getting worse. It’s always, you know, your life is getting more terrible and
more, what’s the word I’m trying to say? You’re enslaved more and more every year,
more burdensome taxes and inflation. And so this book I thought really painted the
history of the conspiracy and how it works in the United States pretty well.
Ben, do you have anything to add about why this is a good book if someone is not
aware of what the conspiracy? – It’s a good, like it’s not only is it in -depth,
but it’s also a good intro. It’s short, it’s fast read, and it’s a good overview.
So it gets you a ton of details really quick and really simply. So it’s a really
good book to start with. – I – I’ll probably read it again. It’s been like, it’s
been four years since I read it, but it really did, it did the job and like
really open the door to me to like be able to explore more truth and be open to
it. I really like – – It’s also an easy read. My boy who’s now 17 and almost 18
read it when he was eight, though he didn’t comprehend it, everything. It was simple
enough for him to read. He knew the words in it. So it’s easy to read. – Oh,
– Wow, yeah, I would definitely recommend it for teens. I mean, they would be so
ahead of the game if you gave this to a teen that you know that you want to get
educated on the truth. So this is like real history in here. Like that’s a real
history book that it gets into, not the revision history. – Hey, Samantha.
– Yeah. – That was my very first book I ever read on anything like this.
And I read it in 1972 when it came out. Really? Yeah.
So you knew like all the people in it, like I had to look up people, I didn’t
know who everyone was. It must have been like real for you then. That’s awesome.
Oh, it was, it was, it was, it was to my parents in law gave us the book to
read. And they, felt that when, or what’s his name,
Nixon was having to resign. They thought that the whole
the whole economy was literally going to collapse, and they went out and bought a
ton of food.
It was these companies, you know, that sell it, sell emergency food and sell it.
And they went out and bought this huge amount of food and stored it and ended up
throwing it away 20 years later. I think my parents did that as well. I wonder if
that was a thing with a lot of people around Esertap Benson time too, right?
– Yeah, probably, yeah. – Okay, yeah, it’s been around then, but it still holds up.
That’s the good thing about this book. The next book I highly recommend is the
Shadows of Power, the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Decline. This one
really sets up how you have these power players in the United States and how they
work and who they and and it really paints more patterns of why we are where we
are and how Magadiant robbers are over us and I highly recommend that one to people
as well. Ben, do you have anything to add about that one or anyone else who’s read
it? Not just Ben, but anyone?
Yeah, it’s a great book. And And I recommend Ben’s books because it’s what’s
happened in our communities and especially in Utah and with the church and how the
propaganda is used against, how it was used against Deseret and the Saints.
And it’s very, very telling, a lot of the same principles and ideas get used over
and over. Why? Because they work. So this is to understand, you know,
the conspiracy and to be able to educate people. Because if you don’t understand
there’s a conspiracy, you don’t understand, you won’t understand what they’re doing.
So this is fundamental and this has really helped me to then think about, “Oh, what
are they doing? How are they doing propaganda?” So it’s important to understand their
lingo. In this book that I will mentioned several times, propaganda,
the formation of men’s attitudes. It’s basically how -to book from Mujakalul. He uses
the term in the beginning of the book quite a bit about limiting choices. This is
really important to the conspiracy. So when you hear that, they don’t like using
that. That seems negative. So they use terms like consolidation or centralization,
centralized. basically that means it’s pretended competition with full power in the
hands of their wicked elite. Okay so that’s limiting choices. It’s really just this
illusion of choice. They control the choices but you feel like hey I’m free I could
choose between this company or this company and really they’re all controlled. Does
that make sense?
So we So, this graphic has to do with food,
like where we get our packaged food. Most brands are centralized to a few,
so we could do this kind of graphic with any sector of business.
You could do this with cars, you could do
you know, clothing, like anything, anything that people consume is controlled by a
few. And I like to say it’s an organized, cooperative, corporate mafia.
These are corporate mafias. They kind of carve out their niches, and they work kind
of around each other. And they are competitive. I would say that the conspiracy is
very competitive when one with another, if someone drops the ball, another will will
try and steal their, you know, their market share and all that there. So there is
competition. And that’s one of the problems with capitalism is it really does
encourage
wicked competition, which I think all competition really is just leads to that to
greed. So this though, You can probably, you will not probably, but you can
centralize it even more ’cause all those corporate entities or their CEOs are all
members of the council on formulations. And so– – Very good, yeah.
Yeah, it’s, and it is an elite club. Yeah, so I have it in this presentation,
got it into the, so when you say most brands, like you can say most power in the
world is centralized to a few families, like, you know, these power families,
and they control these corporations. So the power is really in a few. And then you
could do a graphic for, like, BlackRock. You could say BlackRock, and you can look
and see how much they control. It’s insane. It’s just a massive amount of control
and the hands of a very few.
And they all know each other, and they’re working with each other. There’s some
animosity, probably, but there’s a lot of hands shaking and friendliness as well.
So most media, so now we’ll talk about media, which is important ’cause we’re
talking about propaganda. Most media is centralized and highly organized.
So if you look at this graphic, it talks about consolidation. In 1983, 90 % of
American media was owned by 50 separate companies. Okay. That’s not that long ago.
That’s so that’s 50 companies in 1983. So when this graphic was made was 2011.
That same 90 % is was now and by 2011 is controlled by six companies.
And those are the six down to five because you have the news corp is controlled by
Disney now Well, yeah, oh, so the new graphic is I Got ahead and they and they
buy each other and change names and you know You’ll see that Comcast is not G
anymore, but it was one of the properties So they just do this funny business with
changing names. So you get the illusion that there’s competition Right the illusion
of choice. It’s really the same players and same people. Yeah, so so down to Yeah,
and it changes between five or six and and you know this graphical change in a
year It’ll be but that the principles are all the same in 2024 there’s the big
five book publishers and then there’s a big five movie studios Of course, Those are
kind of incestuous and changing and buying and wheeling and dealing as far as that.
But hands, the very few hands are controlling all of this media.
And have you shown the video in a while, CIA and American propaganda?
I haven’t. This is a good time. Okay. I think we’re going to show this. It’s just
a few minutes. And it’ll really set up, I think, how the CIA is involved with the
media in the United States. And hopefully, let me know if the sound isn’t working
so I can see if there’s something I can do.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Can y ‘all hear that? Do you hear people on certain forums messaged forward with the
conversation threads online that are unabashedly pro -US? No, I’m sure you’re thinking,
yes, of course. [MUSIC PLAYING]
It’s bad sound. It is very muffled. – It’s distorted,
it’s distorted. – Okay. – I can hear it okay. – I can’t, I can’t understand a word.
– Some people can hear it, some can’t, I will just have to– – Go ahead and play
it though, go ahead. It’s important. – Did you turn on share audio? ‘Cause it might
just be playing through your, did you turn on share audio when you did the screen
share? It might just be playing through microphone, the speaker is going to your
microphone rather than the audio we’re laying to it directly.
So you should just stop sharing and then reshare and make sure you’ve got that box
clicked. Here, let’s see if we can. You want to encounter people?
Yeah, you might have.
Okay, reshare again. Okay,
then, – Yeah, tire screen. – Also share.
– Yeah, just, yeah.
Much better much better
Do you ever encounter people on certain forms message boards or conversation threads
online that are unabashedly pro -us? Now I’m sure you’re thinking yes,
of course. Why would that be strange there are a lot of people out there supportive
of the US government engaging in conversations in the social media world But I don’t
mean those people I mean the online personas that oddly enough are Unrelenting in
their patriotic vitriol and troll for literally hours trying to debunk legitimate
questions or any opposition to the establishment Sometimes It almost seems like these
people might even be getting paid to do it. I mean, how else could they expel that
insane amount of time and energy on these comment threads trying to argue how wrong
you are? Well, this might be old news to some, but last year it was confirmed that
the U .S. military has been manipulating social media by using fake identities to
influence conversations and spread pro -American propaganda. It’s called Online Persona
management services and under the CentCon contract allows the creation of up to 10
sock puppet accounts for every U .S. service man or woman working on the program.
The stipulations are that every fake persona must have a convincing background,
history and supporting friend networks so that it will remain undetectable from even
the most sophisticated adversaries. According to The Guardian, the project has been
likened by web experts to China’s attempts to control and restrict free speech on
the internet. And that critics are saying that it allows the U .S. military to
create a false consensus in online conversations, crowd out unwelcome opinions and
smother commentaries or reports that do not correspond with its own objectives. Now
of course, according to CENTCOM, their only objective is to counter violent extremists
an enemy propaganda outside of the U .S. And that it would be unlawful to address U
.S. audiences with the technology. Wow. Unlawful. Really. Interesting.
Because the newest version of the 2013 NDAA included an interesting amendment. This
amendment legalized domestic propaganda on the American public. You heard me right.
The newest NDAA wasn’t just reauthorizing the indefinite detention of American
citizens. It also allowed the U .S. government to legally carry out misinformation
campaigns against the citizens of this country. But is this really surprising to
anyone? I mean, the corporate media is basically a propaganda arm of the U .S.
government anyways, isn’t it? Why they need to legalize the use of propaganda when
you already have an entire mainstream media establishment lacking to the White House,
reprinting government press is that question, selling wars and carrying water for the
administration. In fact, aside from everything I just mentioned, the Pentagon already
spends $4 billion a year to influence public opinion, and the Department of Defense
also spends hundreds of millions of dollars on information campaigns in countless
countries occupied by the U .S. military. But perhaps even more disturbing than all
of this is the fact that the CIA has already been infiltrating the biggest press
institutions since the early 1950s. One has to look no further than Operation
Mockingbird. Secret CIA campaign to spread disinformation and false stories to foreign
governments during the Cold War. It did this by manipulating the media into focusing
on propaganda, sabotage, and subversion. I was later revealed in congressional hearings
that The CIA program consisted of literally paying off editors and reporters at most
mainstream news outlets. The New York Times, CBS, Time, The Washington Post, Newsweek,
AP, Reuters, and Countless More. In one instance, a journalist named Joseph Alsop,
who’s alleged to have been one of the most prominent journalists working under
Operation Mockingbird, wrote foreign affairs articles that appeared in over 300
publications.
So, isn’t it nice to know that the supposed watchdogs of the government can be so
easily bought? Even though the intent of this program was to focus on matters
outside of this country, it undoubtedly influenced everyone living here at the time.
People to this day could still be reading and referencing these articles, not knowing
that they’re completely fake. And Sure, this is more than 50 years ago, but let’s
face the facts here. Our media is much worse now and has been much more easily
compromised now. So how do we know that Operation Mockingbird still isn’t in effect?
Well, we don’t. So the next time you sit down to read the Sunday paper or visit
an online forum, just remember, Don’t believe everything you read so
how does she get away or whoever produced that? How do they get away with that?
Well partly because it’s Russian and because It’s you know a smaller network
and they, you know, so.
One of the things that bothered me about Operation Mockingbird, Frank Church,
congressman from Idaho,
he was up to us. He said, Bobby. Oh, Alan.
Thank you. He was up to and uh who was again can you start again prank church it
was a more ponderous man in idyll and he was up to his neck in uh mockingbird
yeah he was a globalist uh cfr guy
good marmin
And what was he doing
You would church was involved in a project mockingbird
Frank church the congressman from my now Okay, okay, Sam’s microphone is is muted
while she’s sharing like this, so I’m going to introduce the next clip. Okay, cool.
Go.
Hi, I’m Fox and Antonio’s Jessica Headley. And I’m Ryan Wolf. Our greatest
responsibility is to serve our Treasure Valley communities. The El Paso Las Cruces
communities. Eastern Iowa communities. Mid -Michigan communities. We are extremely proud
of the quality balanced journalism that CBS4 News produces. But we are concerned
about the struggle for training the responsible one -sided news stories – Inflating our
country. – Plagging our country. – The sharing of biased and false news has become
all too common on social media. Moral -arming, some media outlets publish the same
fake stories without checking facts first. – The sharing of biased and false news has
become all too common on social media. – More alarming news, some media outlets are
being able to be biased without checking facts first. – Unfortunately some members of
the media [BLANK _AUDIO]
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our
democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous
to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
My daughter Mary Jane was saying that’s just a game of who said it better.
It’s true.
All right. Can you guys hear me now?
So
Yeah, how awful was that number one? We’re not supposed to be a democracy and yet
to hear that over and over and people tend to think that local news is the most
reliable right and yet I’m a threat to democracy shirt
what’s that that’s a good plug for our I’m a threat to democracy shirt yes it is
I didn’t mean to leave I should have had that yeah by hearing by now that’s this
propaganda
right so >> So, yeah,
that’s — I don’t — if you research CIA in their beginnings, very wicked origins
with the OSS and how it became the CIA. And then as far as they give packets —
so she mentioned this in the first clip — they give packets to the news and
basically they just read it sight and seeing seem like they just are. If you want
to deal with the White House, you just read their news press packets. And really,
the government is controlling what local news is sharing day after day.
So I hope to burst bubbles with that. I don’t know if people didn’t know that in
this group or not. But there is– So the news,
including local news, is highly, highly controlled.
Does anyone have questions or more comments on those two clips?
So how do they reach us? The short answer is every single way they can.
And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but more technology and more ways to reach us.
And there’s just how many TVs per household and how many phones and computers and
there’s reasons for that. Technology is the way that they sell us their mass media.
It’s not the only way.
There’s also in -person ways and in other structures and modes.
So through schools, through work, through museums through the markets,
right? I mean, go back to the fake pandemic and in all the places you were
affected by the government propaganda, it was in every one of these places,
right? Church, hospitals, Chamber of Commerce, right? So with all the businesses,
it was in every single way they can, they’re reaching us with with their campaigns
and in a lot of free ways. Yeah right you can’t even drive somewhere without
without yeah I hate billboards so much. Does anyone hate billboards as much as I
do? Not just the billboards the electronic DOD boards. Oh yeah yeah the yeah.
I hate both the most. I hated when they installed those. Yeah I know. I wish I
had a BB gun every time I drive past those, and just… I think those as well.
All the above, billboards, DOD boards, and upgrade that BB gun to a nine
millimeter… Yeah, a BB gun wouldn’t do much. And a lot of these campaigns and
programs, they’re decades in the making, I mean maybe a century in the making,
century in the making, a lot of these programs to disinformation and the control,
it’s highly organized and relentless.
So here’s a good time, and I think maybe, yeah,
we’ll wrap it up after these probably couple slides. Really look inward right now
and take time to be honest with yourself. Are you an information junkie slay?
Are you always looking for the next fix? Do you have a hard time going throughout
a day or the week without knowing the latest, greatest juicy news?
And you might be an information junkie if that’s how you are.
and I will confess right here and right now, I was definitely an info junkie.
My drug of choice was Drudge Report and then Glenn Beck.
Those were the two media sources that I consume daily. And if I didn’t,
I would eat my breakfast and I would have my phone right there and I would hit
Drudge Report and then Glenn Beck consciously, and I’m ashamed of it,
and I realized, I don’t know how long I was doing it, months, months, I realized
that I was an anxious person, something was really wrong, and I realized what I was
doing, that I was, I was, I wouldn’t have said I was an addict, but I was just
saying that this consumption that I was filling myself with every day was,
was wrong, and And it has having an adverse reaction to my spirit.
It was breaking my spirit. And so when I realized that,
no one said anything to me, it was just kind of on my own. I eventually figured
it out. I quit. I quit consuming the mass amounts of media.
And that same time that I would dedicate to the news and the latest juicy gossip,
political or otherwise, and I thought it was really important stuff, but I would use
that time instead. I read my scriptures that same amount of time. And so every day
I was filling myself with the word of God instead of the word of the world and
the lies and the philosophies of men. And that was a very, very important step for
me. And this was years ago. So this is before the fake pandemic. I don’t believe
if I if I wouldn’t have done that, I don’t believe that I would have been open
and receptive
to recognizing the propaganda that would have come in 2020. So is there anybody else
any other, you know, reformed info junkies out there that want to share their their
their story or how they’ve overcome that.
You still info junkies out there. – I think Facebook and social media is a tool
that really feeds that information junkie, you know, fix. You’re just got to scroll
and then you got to go back because you commented somewhere and you just got to
get back to it. It just feeds this addiction cycle that You just got to go back
and get the latest and greatest as opposed to having a plan to do something with
the information. Yeah, it’s highly addictive and the iPhones and everything about them
just sounds and apps. They are created and designed specifically to addict you and
to entrench every, as many hours as they can a day. So it’s by design.
And so if you can just see the wisdom and recognizing this ain’t healthy and there
needs to be a minimal amount where you are subjecting yourself to propaganda because
look at where it’s getting you. Like, you are getting hammered and they want you as
many hours a day as possible reading the media, reading local news, reading,
you know, watching TikToks, paying attention to, you know, the trends and everything.
That’s how they control you and you think that you’re above it or won’t affect you,
but it’s just by sheer volume it is. So I So I would definitely throw out there a
challenge to really cut your consumption, and I’ll get to more of that at the very
end of the presentation, but I think for now we’ll end it here,
and if anyone has any comments or anything they want to make before we wrap up,
I’d love to hear you guys’ thoughts.
Is it good to people? No, it’s great. I’m loving it Are you or three?
Okay, so we’re you want comments right now? Well, we’re about to wrap up since now
or never unless you want to do it privately No, I just want to say one thing.
I love that James Corbett points out who’s kind of a geek on the history of media
is that? Well, one, nearly all media, if not all media,
is propaganda in our day. And the word media itself alludes to the fact that when
we consume media and propaganda, we’re sort of participating in a mediated reality.
Reality is being mediated for us. We’re not experiencing things as they truly are.
The conspirators and propagandists, they frame our very world view with all media,
whether it’s TV news, TikTok, billboards, they’re trying to frame the very way we
view reality, the way we think, what we think about. So I just wanted to throw
that in there, and I think it goes along with what you were saying near the end.
Yeah, I have and I also, we still have a few seconds here. In the April,
1954 General Conference, J. Ruben Clark stated that the Gadget and Roberts had
infiltrated every level of the media and that it was all controlled by deep, dark
government entities that seek our destruction and the loss of our freedoms. When I
listened to that part of that conversation that he had in General Conference, my
blood ran cold and I thought how often today we look at the media and everybody
buys everything now and they’re lying blatantly to us and here’s this guy in 1954
made it very clear that we were being a lot of stray and no one is giving him
any credit for it and I think that makes my blood boil to be honest.
And it’s not just a traditional media that we think of we’ll wrap it up when we
can do the open forum afterwards. But it is, as Samantha has so correctly stated,
it’s those people like the Glenn Becks, like the Sean Hannity’s, those people that
are a part of the so -called alternative media, but are actually, they’re actually a
part of the false opposition. And they are a part of the propaganda that is
designed to get us into false solutions or to inaction. You know,
both of them are as you know, the conspiracy is okay with both of those options
that that we pick So thank you, Samantha. I’m looking forward to part three next
week But let’s go ahead and close with a prayer and then we’ll have open forum and
Mary Jane Would you come over here and say the closing prayer for us? Thank you
You’re good. They can pick you up. Our dear and my father, we thank you so much
for the opportunity we have to come together and discuss these things of liberty and
also educate ourselves about the evil that Satan is trying to poison us with and
please help us to take what we have learned tonight and that we’ll be able to not
just hear and understand but also apply
the lines and to helping to bring about the return of our savior and take down
what’s in his blood upon us and thank you so much for what’s
in so much time and effort and all that they do for, for, for,
for the, and for bringing these things to our light and knowledge.
Please bless them with what they are in need of and We thank you so much for all
of the blessings you’ve given us, and thank you for continuing to watch us, and I
hope it
doesn’t turn anything away from you, Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Thank you, Mary Jane.
