So what is the social order that they wanted to change they wanted to destroy what was it that we were trying to build here in Utah that would make us a free people and independent people that we wouldn’t the principles of the constitution the things that we were trying to build, to build Deseret, to build political Zion, to remain independent was, of course, first, don’t merge with Babylon.
We need our economic independence, otherwise we’re dependent upon them and we will change ourselves to be able to maintain the economic stability.
The second is not to submit to unconstitutional government.
It was essential that we were politically independent because if we had merged with an unconstitutional system, we’re gonna become unconstitutional as well.
So to be able to maintain the rights and liberty of everyone, we had to separate, politically speaking.
So three, don’t let the enemy educate your children.
Of course, we have to have a culture of education independence.
You don’t want someone that’s a cannibal teaching you a cooking class.
And so that’s with education, it’s essential that we maintain in education independence and not because of the future generations and we’re gonna look into that and as we go through each one of these and what that means and what it was that we were trying to do and then how it was that of course because we we’re not economically independent we are not politically independent and most people in Utah go send their children to government schools.
Thankfully that’s a trend that’s starting to reverse and it needs to reverse even more.
But of course, we are still, as a bulk of society, sending our children to Rome, to Babylon, to be educated.
