In the face of overwhelming odds, how do we fight a hydra or a leviathan? The establishment has shown us the lengths to which it will go to silence dissent. Protesters are locked away, their voices stifled, and their actions demonized. It seems impossible to go on the offense without facing accusations of treason or insurrection, especially for those standing up for conservative values. Unlike Mitt Romney, who condoned Antifa’s actions as righteous, conservatives are vilified and imprisoned for defending their rights. What hope do we have? How can we make a difference?
First and foremost, we must reject the notion that surrender is an option. The alternative is unacceptable. The New Testament teaches us that living a life in Christ Jesus will bring persecution. During the time of Christ, the Jews avoided persecution by collaborating with the government, while Christians faced the lion’s den for standing against Rome. The term “Ecclesiastes” was treasonous in Rome, as it signified a political body. The Founding Fathers, too, faced persecution for defying the government. History shows us that standing up for what is right often comes with great risk.
We must take courage and do what is right, regardless of the consequences. There is no magic trick to avoid persecution. Simply changing our language or mailing in our driver’s licenses will not dismantle the satanic conspiracy we face. We must be willing to recognize and accept the risks involved in our fight for liberty. Each of us must judge the level of risk we are willing to engage in and act accordingly.
Yes, there is risk, but we must do it anyway. The fight for liberty requires courage, determination, and unwavering commitment. We must stand together, support one another, and never lose sight of the principles that guide us. The Tree of Liberty Society calls on all of us to rise to the challenge, defend our rights, and ensure that liberty prevails.
Gathering with others is crucial because resistance to tyrants is obedience to God, and that is our mission.
Men of God have declared, “I defy the United States!” We must adopt this defiance. Today, we are shamed into believing we must obey the government without question. This is a new phenomenon. Historically, God’s servants have always resisted unjust rulers. Daniel defied the king. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego defied the king. When we promote the violation of the Constitution, we oppose God. We are not the odd ones out; those who go against the scriptures and history are.
Captain Moroni hoisted his title of liberty, proclaiming, “In memory of our God, our religion, and our freedom and our peace, our wives, and our children.” We must be peculiar and stand firm in our faith and liberty. The cause of liberty is the cause of anyone who calls themselves a Christian. If we covenant to follow Christ, we covenant to support liberty, not tyranny or mandates.
This struggle predates the world. There was one who sought to destroy man’s agency, and we said no. We have bodies because we chose agency. John Taylor taught that our mission includes perpetuating free agency and maintaining liberty. This is our eternal duty.
The Lord said, “Ye are the salt of the earth… Ye are the light of the world.” We must let our light shine for liberty. Some fear sticking their necks out, but the Founding Fathers did just that. If we neglect our covenant to support liberty, we cannot be called God’s people. Freedom is integral to our devotion to God. Imagine if the Founding Fathers had only prayed and not fought against the British. We wouldn’t be here today.
We must break the trend of churches staying within their four walls, a trend that began in the early 1900’s. We must boldly proclaim the cause of Christ and liberty to the world.
The Lord has declared that secret combinations will be stopped before His coming. It is our duty to work for liberty, expose these hidden works of darkness, and prevent their continuation. The feudal lords will be vanquished. Let us maintain the title of liberty, come forth in the strength of the Lord, and enter into this covenant to uphold our rights and religion. May the Lord God bless us in this endeavor.
