So how do we judge?
Here’s some key principles that we find in the Doctrine and Covenants section 98, starting in verse five, where the Lord says, belongs to all mankind and is justifiable before me, okay?
So we don’t need the Supreme Court to tell us what’s constitutional, not, he tells us right here.
He gives the definition, the comma, land, law of the land, which is constitutional, comma, so now here’s the definition, supporting that principle of freedom and maintaining rights and privileges, that’s what’s constitutional, anything more or less than this is evil.
Anything more or less than supporting, maintaining principle of freedom and maintaining rights and privileges is evil.
Flat out, we don’t need the Supreme Court to give us any more information than this.
What do we do with evil?
Do we just bear with it?
Verse 11 tells us, “And I give unto you a commandment that ye shall forsake all evil.”
Anything more or less than this is evil, forsake evil.
Forsake anything more or less than what is constitutional.
Very simple. of his countenance, nullify, don’t obey.
So taking it, taking the kingdom of God, who’s is it, right?
Of course, this key principles that we see in the declaration of the kingdom of God starts off kind of like the Constitution of the United States, we the people of the kingdom of God, knowing that all power emanates from God, that the earth is his possession, and he alone.
God alone has the right to govern the nations and set in order the kingdoms of this world.
He alone, God alone, it’s God’s.
And that he only has a right to institute laws.
Who has a right to institute laws?
United States government?
United nations?
No, God is the only one that has the right to institute laws and establish creeds for the government of the human family, for he is our father in heaven.
All the nations have obtained their power, rule, and authority by usurpation, rebellion, bloodshed, tyranny, and broad. So even though we see in D &C 98 the Constitution was established to protect everyone, D &C 101 as well, by 1844 they had completely and utterly apostatized from the Constitution, and therefore every government on the earth from 1844 until today, whatever day you’re watching this, if the kingdom of God has not been established, has obtained their power through fraud, bloodshed, irony.
It is illegitimate if it is not the kingdom of God.
Orson Hyde taught this when he said God is the legitimate ruler of the universe and no government under him is strictly legal except it be duly authorized and commissioned by him.
There never was a legitimate government on the earth standing in the favor of heaven without an inspired prophet of God to direct its policy neither will there ever be.
Does the state that you live in fall under this?
Does the United States fall under this?
Does whatever nation that you live in, if it’s not the kingdom of God, does it fall under this?
Obviously not.
Going back to that declaration of the Council of 50, these key principles, and having sought in vain, we looked everywhere, but our efforts were in vain, we couldn’t find it, among all the nations of the earth, to find a government instituted by heaven in asylum for the oppressed, a protector of the innocent, and a shield for the defenseless, an impenetrable aegis for the honorable of all nations, uncorrupted by the usurpations of designing men, the contaminating influence of the love of gold, and the lawless intrigues of aspiring demagogues, unfettered by unrighteous legislation, and untrammeled by the mandates of an unjust judiciary, “not degraded by superstitious or religious influence.”
They were looking for this, found it nowhere. God says we’ve got to
establish the kingdom of God now.
establish the kingdom of God now.
